Shoes

Layla's second love is shoes...all kinds...and everyone's. We pretty much have to keep them under lock and key or she'll have them all hauled out. Here she had carried Daddy's shoes (which collectively weigh more than she does) from the kitchen to the spare bedroom, then sweetly said "help" to put them on. a 16 month old with a shoe fetish...wonder who she gets the from??

Bunny

Layla has a new friend...her beloved bunny. All she wants to do is love up on it...hug it, kiss it, and haul it wherever she goes. Thanks for the Kowolski bunny, Nona!

12 Weeks and counting...

Here's our little gummy bear. The preliminary tests looked good...we'll have the final results in a week or two. Heartrate was 152, length was a whopping 2 inches! we'll find out if it's a boy or girl in 2 months!

Good Times in Galveston

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Galveston this past weekend. We were so happy to be able to be a part of Paul and Julie's wedding!! Though, i must admit....other than the big day, we didn't take many pics. I think we were so enjoying not having any parental responsibilities, even getting the camera out seemed like a chore! We stayed in a gorgeous beach house right behind where the ceremony was held. We also hit the huge Beach Clubhouse pool and bar that overlooked the ocean a couple of days. I do wish i had a picture of that...it was incredible!! Here are a few pics from Saturday....note the picture of Paul and the officiant. I swear he was the Godfather of judges...very nice, very funny man...however, you got the feeling he could easily send you to the bottom of the Gulf in a pair of cement shoes.

SURPRISE!!!

Well, as you can see....we're expecting our 2nd little bundle of joy!!! We just had our 8wk ultrasound today...baby is as healthy as can be. Heartrate was 164, and we could see our little bean wiggling its little body all around! We couldn't be happier...and Layla can't wait to be a Big Sister!!!

When looking at the US pic...the bean's head is faced down in the bottom right corner. You can see its little arm buds sticking out from its sides! We fell in love instantly today....again.

Lost In Translation

Congratulations, Becky & Chris!

Saturday evening was spent celebrating the marriage of Becky and Chris (finally!) at the Nakoma Country Club. We were able to catch up with some old friends...and our little bean even made it out for a couple hours past her 6:30pm bedtime. Of course, taking pics with Mommy and Daddy are the last things she wants to do anymore...she squirms out first chance she gets. She digs pics of just herself more.
