Mommy and Daddy's Night Out

Thanks to Nona, Grandpa, and Uncle Ross for coming down to babysit while Mommy and Daddy had a night out. We had a friend's wedding...a great excuse to be among the adults only crowd for a change. We've decided we need to make this at least a monthly occurrence. Layla, of course, thought it was the best having more people dote on her!

Zoo Days!

Unbelievably, it was sunny and 70 degrees today...and what a better way to enjoy the day than a trip to the zoo with your friends?! Layla and her pals, Julia, Dillon, Collin, and Mila had such a fun day! Mommy's friends joked "that i need to get her out more"...as you'll see by her sheer joy in the pics and short video (thanks to Krista). I have to say...the carousel ride was a big hit...she loved it! I have a feeling the zoo is going to be a favorite spot of ours this summer!

Layla and the Apple

So our quiet passive infant has become a voracious beast! If you have food... it's best to scarf it down in a dark corner, before she realizes what you've got. It doesn't matter what it is or when she ate last. If you have it, she wants it. Here's Shane trying to eat an apple. She's never had one before, so we're not quite sure where her insistence came from. I mean...the girl was actually getting vicious!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful "first" Easter, spending time with Nona, Grandpa, Uncle Ross, GG, Great Auntie Bernice and Auntie Jodie! Layla made out like a bandit from that infamous bunny. Luckily, Nona, made her her very own monogrammed Easter basket to fill up! Nona prepared another fabulous dinner, with the help of Grandpa, who made a killer ham on the grill. YUM! Of course, the day wouldn't have been complete without MANY pushes in the new swing!

Easter Pre-Party!

We trekked to the great up north to Nona and Grandpa's house for Easter weekend. Layla had a ball with her new toys, especially her new swing. We also noticed two new top teeth coming in, which could explain the streams coming from her nose, eyes, and mouth the past week or so!

For those who've asked and to all the moms out there who are usually behind the camera, instead of in front of it...here are a few pics of layla and me. she's loving "being chased" right now. she tries to crawl away as fast as her little body can go...and giggles when you catch her. what a goof! she's also big on kisses...grab your face-smack a big wet one on you-smooches. adorable...but prepared to be slobbered on! :-)
