Big Girl Puzzle

She did it! She completed her first 48-piece "big-girl" puzzle! (okay, she had a little from Mommy). She was so proud.

All in all, we had a very nice visit with Nona and Beba. I got some much needed R&R and TLC from my mommy. Thanks, Mom!

CLANG, CLANG, CLANG..."uh-oh, it fell". Ugh...we heard this a.l.o.t. throughout our visit. I'm guessing layla played with and dropped these metal fridge magnets, no less than, a hundred times. No...i'm not exaggerating. That sound is still ringing in my ears.

Sledding!

Sledding couldn't have been a bigger hit with our little snow bunny! Long after we were all cold and tired, she was pleading to "go one more time". No wonder sledding is so fun for kids her age...the adults do ALL the work! Let's just say, Daddy and Beba had quite a workout!

Christmas Day!

Santa delivered!! Layla was VERY excited to see what Santa brought her. Marley didn't seem to care too much. :-) We had yummy food, a great visit with GG, LOTS of projects, and a day filled with wonderful family time!

This is, by far, Layla's favorite present. She walked around with this coat on for a good part of our visit asking, "U need a doctor?". She's a quick study...she knows how to look in ears, give shots, check reflexes, and use her "steth-scope". hmmmm....will there be medical school in her future? Better start saving those pennies, dear.

Merry Christmas Eve

We spent the day cooking, playing, and cooking so more. The girls were a big help. Marley was a whiz with the wooden spoon!

We Made It!

After a loonngg day of travel, we made it to Nona and Beba's house. The girls loved their play tent!

5 minutes. i was in the shower for 5 minutes. She got the paper towel out of the closet and did this...in 5 minutes. Don't tell me she didn't have this planned beforehand.

Christmas from Texas!

We couldn't be with our Texas family for Christmas this year, so we had a special gift opening after the girls' Christmas concert. They snuggled into their favorite Christmas pj's and had a great time opening all their presents! Everything was a big hit!! Layla and Marley wanted to send lots of love and a big THANK YOU to: Mimi, Pop, Nana, Aunt Shelley, Uncle Brian, Kade, and Kenna!!! XOXO

Capitoland Christmas!

The girls had their Christmas Program at daycare last night, and it was so cute! Everyone did such a great job! Marley's class did "Christmas with the Smurfs". Layla's class did "A Gift of Friendship" from Strawberry Shortcake Christmas. We didn't get many pics, but scroll down for the videos!

Our sick peanut...

Marley earned herself a trip to Urgent Care today. The nasty sinus infection (that clearly never went away), brewed itself into a double ear infection. She was miserable today...pulling on her ears, crying, moaning...just pathetic. She slept for a better part of the day....and when you're sick...nothing helps more than using your favorite bunny as a pillow. Feel better, my sweet baby...

Arrgghhhh!!

Pirates are a big hit in our house, ever since Shane dressed layla up as one to play in her tent! Who knew Marley would be such a good first mate?

First Snow!!

Well, it took until December 4th...but it finally snowed!! Layla couldn't wait to get out and play!
