The Beach

Tuesday we stayed on the mainland...swam in Pop and Nana's pool, then headed to the beach. We were right between the port and the pier...so we got to see the huge cargo ships leaving. This may not sound that interesting, but the dolphins jump/swim in front of the ships when they enter and leave port...which creates quite a sight!! Of course, i was too busy oooo'ing and ahhh'ing to get pics of them! The beach and the Gulf were gorgeous!

St. Joe's--Port Aransas

We arrived safely and surprisingly on time in Corpus Christi on Sunday! We had a nice lunch with Mimi, Aunt Ri, and The Robinson clan before heading over to Port A. We had an AWESOME shrimp boil sunday night, before collapsing in bed from the day's travels.

Monday was all about St. Joe's. We cruised to the private little island on Pop and Nana's boat and anchored near shore...seeing quite a few dolphins on the way. Our little water baby didn't dissapoint!! She stayed in the water for at least an hour...enjoying every minute. It was HOT, HOT, HOT (which was the theme for the week)....but it was tolerable with being on the water. What a life...i could stay on the boat all day!

Saturday marked the nuptials of family friends, Joy and Andy in Appleton at Homestead Farms...an adorable, rustic venue. We braved the raindrops for the ceremony...but the sun decided to shine right before the groom kissed his bride! We had a wonderful time celebrating with friends and family!

The crazy busy vacation started with a friday night wedding reception in Appleton. We had a blast celebrating with the Griesser-Vollmer clan. Congrats Rich and Sam!!!

Hot Summer Day!!

In true Wisconsin fashion...it went from 65 to 100 degrees here this week! Whew...hot one! We got to play outside for a little while before the dreaded heat wave. i think it's safe to say, it's warm enough to get out the elephant sprinkler pool when we get back from TX...any Mommy's up for a pool party??

Bad Day...

Even the best of them have bad days every now and then. The Riddle household wasn't feeling quite up to par this past week...and our little bean took the brunt of it with a nasty sinus infection. Here she is at "peak activity" last Friday. thankfully, antibiotics started kicking in over the weekend...and she's getting back to her old spicy self.

Coupe Car

The Coupe Car is a big hit around the Riddle household. THANKS MIMI!! Layla loves it when Daddy zooms her up and down the sidewalk, though she seems a bit inconvenienced when she has to put her feet down and do it herself...no idea where she gets that from.
