The Riddle Project: If It Looks Like A House...

....it's a house!! The boys have been crazy busy this week. In 3 short days, they've finished all the exterior walls, the roof trusses, and the eves. Today, they were also starting the plywood sheeting for the roof. 11 weeks to go!!

18.months.

At 24lbs (48%) and 31.5in (52%), our little spit fire has rapidly crossed over into being a toddler. For as much as she eats, i thought her weight would be in the 90%. She must have her father's metabolism (how terrible for her). We call her "The Queen of Chaos"...mass destruction wherever she goes and tormenting her big sis along the way.

She's our:

(drama queen--i was washing her bunny)

(carnie ride aficionado)

(accessory queen--shoes was her second word)

(big sis lover--though, this is often times followed by a good hair pull--poor L)

(and daredevil--i was gone 2 seconds getting a diaper from their bedroom. oy.)

The Riddle Project: Freeze Frame

Framing has begun!! It's exciting to see the actual look of the house coming together!

The Riddle Project: Foundation!!

The foundation had been poured and tarring had been started the week before labor day. This week, the styrofoam was put up and the backfill was done (sorry no exciting pics of that!). Hoping framing will start this week!

The Riddle Project: Stakes, Sewer and The Giant Hole

We've started! YAY!! Thought we'd share snippets of the building process for our family and friends, that live far and near! The last couple of weeks, we closed on the lot, Craftsman staked it out, started excavating, and put in the sewer (aren't you happy to know that!). :-) T-minus: 107 days...tentatively, of course.

New Park & New Haircuts

This week was all about exploring our new play park and getting some much needed haircuts for the Riddlettes. The girls love the new park and it's a nice walk to get there. I also braved getting Marley's first haircut (not much there, i know, but the baby mullet needed to go). Layla also got a whopping 5 inches cut off!! All in all, just settling in (temporarily, at least) to condo living and looking forward for our new house to be built!!
