Family Swim

We had our second week of Daddy/Daughter Family Swim today at Shane's gym. Layla and Shane both love the water and it's a great activity for them to do together...especially since our poor girl might feel a little slighted in the very near future. I tagged along today to snap a few pics!

Nothing like a good hour in the pool to make a toddler with TOO much energy wind down!

Keva

We finally ventured out to Keva this winter and i must say, it is a NICE place for the kiddos to burn off some energy. Layla had a blast running around all the fields and shooting hoops. She was even playing well and sharing with a few other kids. However, i nearly had to take down this older, bigger boy who kept trying to pull her basketball out of her little arms (all the while his d-bag of a father just watched on). "hey-kid...i'm not above knocking your sorry ass to the ground (or your father's for that matter), if you take her b-ball away again". grrr....pregnant, protective mommy on the prowl.

34 Weeks!

WE MADE IT!! We weren't sure for a while, but we did! We're so relieved to make it through this big hurdle. The babe has passed all her recent NST's, which has also been very reassuring. For those of you who don't know, we've moved up our c-section date to Thursday, March 18th! So, one more Doppler next week and a handful of NST's and we'll have ourselves a new little peanut! 2 kids...oh boy (er...girl)!

Shrug-tastic

Layla is learning to dress...and un-dress herself. YAY! (said sarcastically). Her new deal is pulling her shirt over her head and wearing it like a shrug. She thinks she's h.i.l.a.r.i.o.u.s. when she does it. I can only hope this activity is kept for our house, and that she's not showing her goods at daycare.

33 Weeks: They Said It Wouldn't Happen...

...BUT it did!! BabyG2 actually had slightly BETTER dopplers today! YAY!!! She weighs approximately 3 lbs 13 oz. If we make it to April 1, they guess-timate she'll weigh close to 5lbs. Another peanut, like her sister, but way better than originally thought! Her head is measuring fine, but her femur and abdomen are still measuring small. However, she continues to follow the same growth curve (which is good). She'll just be a skinny little bean, at first! :-) To say we're overjoyed is an understatement. Obviously, we're still being very cautious, but a lot more optimistic at this point! For those of you who don't know, our little drama baby flipped breech last week...which she still was today. Needless to say, getting pics was even more difficult! The pic is pretty skewed, but you get a little peek at her. On the left side of her face is her right forearm/hand (she's kind of laying on them.) The cord was over the right side of her cheek, so that's why that side looks odd. We did see a lot of hair!! I thought this pic was cute, because she was kind of facing me...like she's cuddling. I'm glad one of us is comfy!!! :-)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Layla decided to give Nona a hand in making some mini-Valentine cupcakes! We laughed at how she dumped nearly an entire bottle of sprinkles on one cupcake. Little did we know, she had it planned out all along! As soon as she finished dumping on the pile o' sprinkles, she tossed the bottle aside, and swiped up the cupcake and shoved it in her mouth! Let's hope she's done bouncing off the walls from the sugar hit, by the time bedtime rolls around.

NST's # 3 & #4/32 Weeks

The NST's were still "reassuring" this week. Baby had a lot of movement today. However, once again she had only one "reactive" episode where her heart rate increased after activity for at least 20 seconds. Babes usually start having these more frequently at 32 weeks (which we are this week). Docs are still reassured because she's moving so much, but they want to see more reactive episodes starting next week. Thinking positive thoughts she gives them a run for their money on Monday!
