All Was Well Until...

While in Door County, we spent a day on Washington Island. We saw a beautiful lime stone beach and alot of historical sites. The ferry ride was great, too....except when we decided it'd be a good idea to take Layla up on the observation deck. I mean...what does a 3 month old really need to observe? It was all fun n' games...until the ferry boat's horn blared as we left port. Needless to say, we made a hasty retreat back to the car. I'm sure Layla wondered 'what were my people thinking, taking me up there?'.

License To Drive

Layla insisted on being in the driver's seat for our day of sightseeing in Door County. Thankfully, her keen sense of direction made the journey a breeze!

Too Cool For Pool

We spent labor day weekend up in Door County with Nona, Grandpa, and Uncle Ross! We had a great time, especially our little water baby! Layla couldn't get enough of the heated pool, but Daddy thought it was still too cold!

Confessions Of A 3 Month Old

Layla has finally started "talking". We are overjoyed at this new phase...but to you veteran parents...we are aware that eventually she'll be saying things like "no, mommy" and "but, daddy, i love him". we'll certainly enjoy these simpler moments while they last!

I've Got My Backpack!!

As some of you know, Layla had her first day of daycare on Tuesday. Mommy and Daddy were a wreck, but she did great! We can only hope most days will be like her first. You can't tell in this picture, but she was totally stoked about going.

Hmmm...

It's entirely possible Layla is tired of us taking pictures of her in the tub...but we can't help ourselves.

TEXAS--Houston edition!

The last leg of our journey was to Houston to visit with Mimi, Marty, Aunt Shelley, Uncle Brian, and Kade! Let me start by saying....it was HOT...Texas Hot! 100 degrees with 100% humidity...the wisconsinites nearly melted! Of course, Layla needed to get TV time in (the first pic)...at least it was Baby Einstein. The second pic is of Layla and Mimi "chillin'" outside. The third pic shows Shelley and Brian's 25 lb "baby"...Yoda, the wonder dog! The last pic shows how much cousin Kade loves his "baby layla". all he wanted to do was hold her and take pictures with her. well, that and asking me how old i was about...a million times. i know, i know...i've aged!! all in all we had a great time. Layla did awesome on the plane rides...she slept the whole time!!
