Vilas Zoo

First trip to the zoo this summer!  Check!   We ventured out with our pals, Jill, Abigail, and Olivia!  Notice, all the pics are from the playland...that's pretty much where we spent our day!

Our usually apprehensive, girl, climbed to the top of the rock wall.  Once up there, however, panic set in, and she needed some assistance down.   Proud of her for trying, though!

Our usually non-apprehensive girl, climbed to the top when i had turned around for two seconds.  My panic set in and needed to assist her down. Though, she wanted NONE of my help!

T-Ball

Layla had her first experience with organized team sports...t-ball!!   She liked getting her own "team shirt", but i fear that may be about it.  She gets extremely frustrated when she doesn't get something right away, as noted in the last picture.  She threw down her glove, defeated,  and needed a little pep talk from Daddy.  When we asked if she had fun, she said, "no.  i like swimming and dancing.  I want to go play on the swings."   What can we say?  She's our artsy girl.   Perhaps, individual sports are more her cup of tea!

Goodbye, Dr. Neary!!

Well, today we said goodbye to our pediatrician, Dr. Elizabeth Neary!  Dr. Neary is retiring from her practice and though we wish her well on the next chapter in her life, we are sad to see her go!   We've only been with her for 4 years, but she's seen both girls through a lot, and we are grateful for her excellent 

care and compassion!!

Layla's 4 year check up went great!  Her "bones look good", according to her!!

Layla's Party Weekend!

We had a great weekend, celebrating Layla's birthday!   Nona, Beba, Uncle Ross, Aunt Julie, and Uncle Rich joined us for the weekend, which was filled with Dr. D trapping his nemesis, Agent P, in his invention:  The Cake-i-nator!!   We tried out new scooters and new bikes and got out the kiddie pool, seeing as how it was nearly 90 degrees!!    We really appreciate everyone traveling down and spending the day with our, now 4 year old!!! 

Happy 4th Birthday, Layla!

I was so focused on taking care of Miss M and prepping for Layla's party (being held the saturday following her birthday), that i almost missed doing something special for her actual day.  So, i was running around at 8pm the night before to gather balloons and make cupcakes.  Mommy fail.  She did get to see one of her presents, though!   A new "princess castle" (aka tent) that Tinkerbell built for her.   It's been a big hit for the Riddlettes!!   Layla (and Marley) also got to hang out with their buddy, Dane...and enjoyed lots of dancing to Imagination Movers:  In Concert!

Happy Mother's Day!

As everyone knows, it was a bit chaotic around our house on Mother's Day with our little sickie, Miss M! However, the Hubs and girls managed to make it special, none the less.  Homemade gifts the girls made at school, tulips, cards, and lots of artwork made the day very special!
