Snow-Mageddon '11

2.1.11: 12.5 inches in a 24 hr period. 17 inches by the time it was finished. Snow-mageddon '11, folks. the city essentially shut down...and that says a lot for a town in WI!!

note: (HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY, NONA! glad we got to spend some time with you around your special day!!)

Shane was in good spirits on the first pass....3 hours later...he was exhausted!!! (yes, 3 hours...for our little driveway).

Layla's Long Awaited Achievement....

...is, of course, being POTTY TRAINED!!! can i get a "woot-woot"!! after...m.a.n.y. attempts, she finally decided 'no more diapers.' she's so proud, she beams after she does her thing. mommy and daddy are so proud of you...big girl!

now...naturally...being the 'big-girl' isn't always what it's cracked up to be. the 'baby' always seems to get more attention, so the 'big-girl' needs to revert back to her old ways (see pic below). i can't completely blame her...sometimes new responsibilities and growing up are tough.

Marley's Milestones...

....crawling everywhere, getting into everything, taking a big-girl bath, and pulling herself up on any and every object she can. A few spills...a few tears...but she's forging ahead like a little trooper. the "baby" is quickly fading...so, there's been a few tears from Mommy, too. :-(

Ahhhh...the post-holiday let down. We've been lying pretty low this month...though, the girls have hit a few milestones that they'd like to share with y'all!
