81 degrees on 10/10/10...

...what to do? Play in the leaves and use outside chalk, of course!! Only a Daddy of girls could truly enjoy hopscotch!

Bed Time Reading and Snuggly Sisters

Bed time reading always starts of so sweet. Of course, the end of bed time reading...means bed time has arrived, much to Layla's angst. Here it is...the good, the bad, and the melt down.

Here is some good ole' fashion snuggle time. They love it!

Our big girl, sitting up...sort of! She's just starting, so there is a lot of swaying, tipping, and falling.

Layla decided that Marley made a good pillow, today. Better than smothering her little sister with one, as she's tried in the past!

My giggly girls...

Silly Monday

I had some silly girls today. It started off with Layla climbing into Marley's crib. They were having a grand ole' time. I have a bad feeling these two are going to make a troublesome pair when M gets a bit older!

Later in the afternoon, I found Layla sitting in the exersaucer. I guess being the "big sister" isn't always so fun.

Then, early evening came...and Marley became a giggle monster. I think she was delirious from not taking very good naps all day (neither did her big sis, btw)!!! Oh well...that just means it's early bed time for everyone!!! YAY!

Utter Exhaustion

Layla was SO exhausted our last night up north, she went from 60 to ZERO in a matter of seconds. Beba said "pizza's here" and she scurried in to the kitchen to get some. She got up in her chair, got her bib on, and started to dig in. This is what started...literally...after her first bite. I've never seen someone eat...and sleep...at the same time!

Dickinson County Fair--100th Anniversary

While up at Nona and Beba's, we attended the Dickinson County Fair!! This is a big to-do every year...in a small town! I haven't been to the fair in probably 20 years...crazy!! It was amazing....same sights, same smells, same.exact.rides! It was awesome to bring Layla and get to enjoy the fair as a "kid" all over again!!

Of course, she fell asleep as we were pulling in to the parking lot!

She perked up, though, when we went to the mini petting zoo!

"Why....hello there.

There was A LOT of hand sanitizer used after our first stop!

You can't see them in this pic...but this pen housed huge turtles...and kangaroos. odd coupling.

Yes, this is the best picture of Layla and I....sigh...maybe some day.

We searched....and searched....and searched for a balloon. We finally found one in the shape of Dora. Hallelujah....

Marley kickin' back enjoying all the attention from friends, family, and strangers!

Playing catch with Dora and Nona.

This is what pure joy looks like....

Such a big girl, riding all by herself!

This is what pure joy looks like....again...

Mommy was so happy to share this with you, Layla!

Labor Day Weekend

Layla spent a whole week up at Nona and Beba's house and was kept extremely busy! They even went to a wedding/anniversary party/wedding reception all in one day. Naturally, Layla was the belle of the ball! She did a lot of dancing at the reception...i so wish we would have had pics of that! The pics start with Mommy arriving with Marley in tow. We spent a couple of days up there, while Daddy recovered from his "surgery" at home!

Layla was very excited to see her baby sister!! However, Marley looks like she just realized this only-child-thing was temporary.

Marley was exhausted after a long day!

Layla had to have a picture taken of her "sleeping", after we took Marley's.

Visiting with GG!
