GG and the girls

As some of you know, GG had a fall last week that earned her a week in the hospital. I went up north with the girls to try and help out!

Randoms from past couple weeks!

We've stayed pretty low the past couple of weeks, just getting back in to the groove of work and being home from our trip to Texas!!

Marley finally found her thumb!!

Layla already had...she was a sick pup here! :-( Do you like her newest animal addition? That's "Tim" (her choice, not ours), the Octopus. We brought him home from the TX State Aquarium!

Marley's first time in the exersaucer. A little bit of a bobble head, but she did pretty good!

I told Layla to take her tennis shoes, shorts, and shirt off from daycare to change in to her pj's. This is how she came out of her room--bare-bum naked, wearing nothing but her pink crocs!

Marley was straining backward to see the TV when i snapped this. Don't judge.

Layla loves dancing with Marley to the exersaucer music. Marley doesn't seem to reciprocate. (Notice Layla is wearing big-girl undies!) This will be key to understand the next pic!

She hauled her potty out in to the living room. She went potty in it twice and wanted to wear her big-girl Dora undies (thanks Krista)! She stayed dry for a couple of hours!! Hope this continues!!

Tour of Texas '10: Houston

Our last stop-Houston! We rented a car and left the island for our 5 hour trek to Houston to see Shelley, Brian, Kade, and Kenna! Marley only cried 3 of the 5 hours...so it wasn't so bad (groan). Shelley and I took the kids to the Houston Zoo and it was fierce that day. It was an awesome zoo, but we only lasted 90 minutes (and that included lunch)! Even the animals were hiding out, it was so HOT. We'll go there again...on our fall/winter trip. Zoo's in TX are open year round!! Shelley and Brian's new pool was a BIG hit, as well!!! Layla could have spent all her time in there! We also got to see our good friends Paul and Julie (who's carrying a little fetus!!) It was great to spend some time with all of our Texas family and friends...overall it was a wonderful trip!

Tour of Texas '10: Port A

Second stop: Port A!! We made it to Pop and Nana's for a few days and finally got to spend some time with Shane's sister Katie, her hubbie Jonathan, and our niece Allison! Despite all our illnesses...we had a great time hanging at the beach house and on the Gulf!!

The first leg of our journey landed us (literally) in Corpus Christi! We got to visit with Mimi and Sophie (the pup) for a couple of days. We went to the Texas State Aquarium, a mini water park, and the BEACH--Layla's favorite spot in the whole world!! We also were able to see Aunt Ri, Aidan, and Katherine! A BIG thanks to you for stopping by for a visit!!
