Who would have thought we'd have green grass and be outside in a thin sweatshirt, the middle of November! The weather's been quite balmy the past few days so Daddy and Layla enjoyed some playtime outside!

Layla and her "Baby"
Looks like we have to include a doll and stroller on Layla's list to Santa. She loved pushing around her "baby" at Great Aunt Julie's house. It warmed my heart to see her being such a good little "mommy", considering there'll be a new bean joining us soon. That was short lived however, when she grabbed the "baby" by the hair and repeatedly slammed it into the hardwood floor (sorry no pics of that....i was too horrified, imagining her doing that to her new sibling.) ugh....

Mommy's Day Off
While I was on vacation this week (from my other job), Layla went to daycare one day. YEA! (i mean, i missed her terribly.) It's amazing how much more efficient one can be at running errands and cleaning the house when you're not battling a 17 month old! Here she is dressed up for Halloween week and playing "BOO!" before she left. Oh, to be so happy and full of energy in the wee hours of the morning.

Watching Daddy
Every time Layla hears a lawnmower outside, she says "Dada?" and runs to the nearest window to look for Shane. She loves watching him mow the lawn. She'll sit on the top back of the chair and watch while he does the entire front yard. She bangs on the window, waves, laughs, and giggles. Though, between the two of them, i'm not sure who enjoys it more.

Eplegaarden '09
Well, it was a stifling 85 degrees during last year's trip to Eplegaarden. This year...windy and maybe 50?? BRRR!!! Poor Layla. She enjoyed "throwin' back" a vat of caramel dip and smiled once while being entertained by a little girl during our wait to buy apples. However, as you'll see by the pics...she could have done without the rest of "family fun day".
